NICOLE
PRAUSE WINS POCATELLO MARATHON
Pocatello, ID - Nicole
Prause, Ph.D., an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Idaho State
University and member of REVO2LT Running TeamTM, won the
Pocatello Marathon on September 1st in 3:16:59, an average
pace of 7:31 per mile. The race, which started at a breath-taking
altitude of 6,100 feet, dropped 1,600 feet over the first 14 miles.
I was aiming for 7:20 pace, but my pacing was off right from the start,
said
Nicole, who studies sexual dysfunction, her doctoral research conducted at the
renowned Kinsey Institute. While I didnt run
up to my potential, I learned a lot from this race.
Its good
to win stuff.
Despite some erratic pacing, Nicole was only 1:07 off her personal best time, which is a great accomplishment given that this was a much more challenging course with the altitude and the downhill, said Coach Jason Karp. Nicole was highly motivated going into this race, and her tenacity helped her to win.
