JANNA MITSOS PLACES 14TH AT SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY DISTANCE CARNIVAL 

San Francisco, CA - Janna Mitsos, a high school senior from Mokena, Illinois and member of REVO₂LT Running Team™, ran a very well-paced race to place 14th in the 1,500 meters in 4:57.84 at the San Francisco State University Distance Carnival on Friday, March 27, 2009.  She followed that up with a 2:27.45 800 meters to get in some extra speedwork.  

“It didn’t feel that hard,” said the soft-spoken Mitsos, who graduates this spring and will be competing at the University of New Mexico in the fall.  Mitsos easily won the 3,200 meters at the University of Findlay High School Invitational three weeks ago.    

“Janna’s workouts have been like clockwork,” said Mitsos’s coach, Dr. Jason Karp of RunCoachJason.com, who has been coaching Janna since January.  “Racing in a college meet is no small feat for a high schooler.  Janna rose to the occasion and ran two well-paced races.  She’s off to a solid start this season.”
