Sean Mueller

Residence: Cheshire, CT

A talented and dedicated runner, Sean was a high school All-American at Cheshire High School in Cheshire, Connecticut.  Under Dr. Karp
s guidance, he became one of the best high school runners in the U.S., running 4:36 (1,600m) and 10:04 (3,200m) as a freshman, 4:22 and 9:32 as a sophomore, 8:45 (3,000m) and 15:20 (5,000m) as a junior, and 8:38 (3,000m) as a senior.

Randy Fain

Residence: Valley Center, CA

A 4:20 miler in college, Randy took off 33 years from competitive running until starting to run again in 2010.  He now has his sights set on the 2011 World Masters Track and Field Championships.

Mary Coordt

Residence: Elk Grove, CA

A health educator for Network for a Healthy California and a speaker on nutrition, Mary is a 4-time U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier.  Shes currently training for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.

Genevieve Quinn

Residence: Hartford, CT


Genevieve ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track for four years at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT, where she was captain of the cross country and track teams her senior year.  Since working with Dr. Karp, she has improved from 5:49 (1,600 meters), 12:30 (3,200 meters), and 21:20 (5K) to 5:32, 11:50, and 18:39, respectively.  She currently attends Trinity College in Connecticut.

Pam Guyer

Residence: Taos, New Mexico

A health club owner, personal trainer, and avid high-altitude hiker, Pam was a runner for 20 years prior to moving to high altitude and has decided to train for a marathon after a 10-year break from running.

Larry Roberts

Residence: San Diego, CA

Running
on and off for fun and fitness since 1984, Larry began doing 5K trail races for fun in 2006.  In 2008, he began putting some effort into improving his form, endurance, and speed.

Janna Mitsos

Peter Shankman

Residence: New York, NY 

An entrepreneur, adventurist, and CEO of The Geek Factory, a boutique Public Relations and Marketing firm in New York City, Peter is also founder of Help a Reporter Out (HARO), a daily listing of queries from journalists looking for sources interested in being quoted in the media.  He has completed 13 marathons.

Stefan Andermann

Residence: Santa Fe, NM

Having run his first 10K at age 7, Stefan excelled as a sprinter in school.  An eclectic athletic background that has included body building, jujitsu, mounting biking, and road biking, he returned to running at age 28 at a weight of 220 pounds.  In 2007, he ran his first marathon.

During the time he was coached by Dr. Karp, Jonathan cut nearly 11 minutes from his marathon PR and ran
the same pace for 10 miles as he was initially able to run for 5K (3.1 miles).

A former collegiate runner for Hendrix College in Arkansas and Washington University in St. Louis, Lee worked with Dr. Karp for a brief stint while training to qualify for the U.S. Air Force track team.

Jon Little

Residence: Indianapolis, IN

Following a successful collegiate career split between two NCAA Division I schools—Rutgers University and Indiana University—Jon hired Dr. Karp to provide direction to his training.  Since graduating law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Jon still consults with Coach Jason.  He qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, running 2:21:48 at the 2006 Chicago Marathon.

Originally from Toronto, Dianne worked with Dr. Karp for a brief stint in 2006 while living in Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving to Colorado.

Brent Henady

Residence: Indianapolis, IN


A busy guy who worked 60-70 hours a week as an EMT and took classes to become a paramedic, Brent still found the time to run up to 85 miles per week under Dr. Karp’s tutelage.  His work ethic paid off, cutting 27 seconds off his 5K PR, 46 seconds off his 10K PR, and 3:43 off his marathon PR.

Rob Lind

Residence: Massachusetts


Following a successful cross country season at Anna Maria College in Massachusetts, Rob trained under Dr. Karp for the remainder of his freshman year.

Doug Trueblood

A renegade in his youth, Doug began running in his late 30s to take better care of himself.  He began working with Dr. Karp at age 53 and, at age 54, competed for the first time at the U.S. National Masters Track and Field Championships.
